The United Nations Youth Association of Denmark
UNYA Denmark is a youth-led (15-35 y.o.) non-profit organization that works to promote and raise awareness amongst youth about the United Nations, as well as UN-affiliated causes, values, and issues. We want to be a place where empathetic, passionate youth can show up, engage, and learn about the world. We want to enable anyone with ideas on how to improve the state of the world or support of the Global Goals can show up and be given tools to impact their local community and be heard by a motivated and globally minded audience.
MAKE YOUR MARK – GET INVOLVED
Our purpose is to…
- educate young people and the community about the work and values of the United Nations;
- empower young people to get involved in international affairs and civil society;
- represent the views of young people at a local, national and international level; and
- act as a forum for young people to network and socialize.
Joining the United Nations Youth Association of Denmark as a volunteer is a way to take action and be a part of a supportive community that allows you to take an informed stance on sustainability and communicate it to your peers.
In the United Nations Youth Association of Denmark, we want to offer a space where knowledge, ideas, and solutions can be gained and shared among students and young professionals. We want to be the place where you can be heard. We want to be a place where empathetic, passionate youth can show up, engage, and learn about the world – where anyone with ideas on how to improve the state of the world or support of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can show up and be heard by a motivated and globally-minded audience.
Whether you are a student wanting to present your dissertation on eco-cities, a professor wanting to present your new book on human rights during humanitarian crises, or a volunteer who wants to organize a city clean-up in your local community, we are ready to support you right here and be the medium and amplifier of your voice.
