UNYA Denmark is a youth-led (ages 18–35) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and raising awareness about the United Nations, its values, and global issues among young people in Denmark.
We aim to be a space where curious, empathetic, and passionate youth can come together to learn, engage, and act. Whether you want to raise awareness about the SDGs, create local change, or simply explore global affairs, UNYA is here to give you the tools, connections, and community to make an impact.
We are dedicated to:

Empower youth to engage in international affairs and civil society.
Represent the voices of young people at local, national, and international levels.
Connect youth through a vibrant network that fosters dialogue, learning, and collaboration.
At UNYA Denmark, everyone can take the lead. We have a board and secretariat, but our strength comes from our members — people who turn ideas into action.
Our work is organized through the SDG Youth Advocates Program, where small teams focus on different Sustainable Development Goals. Members plan events, write articles, and start projects that raise awareness and inspire change.
This way of working has helped create a strong community of young changemakers all over Denmark.

Founded in 2014, UNYA Copenhagen gives a voice to young people passionate about international development, the SDGs, and community-based action.
Since November 2016, UNYA Aalborg has brought UNYA Denmark’s mission beyond the capital, creating a vibrant youth community in Northern Denmark.
